SWE Homes has over 35 years of leasing homes in Houston and surrounding areas. We offer a variety of options to fit you and your family’s needs.

Home Rental Requirements

If you are looking to lease a home, we have it! Our application is free! We have tens of homes for rent by owner available in Texas and Georgia.

Rental term is a minimum of 3 years. We value long term relationships with our customers.
All leases require a security deposit equal to the amount of the monthly rent.
Applicants must show proof that their income is at least 3 times the monthly rent to qualify.
For customers with good credit (599 FICO or better), we will require first month's rent and security deposit in certified funds upon signing the lease.
For customers with poor credit (598 FICO or less), we will require first months' rent and double security deposit in certified funds upon signing the lease. (subject to additional qualifications).
Proof of renters insurance
Pets are accepted on a case-by-case basis. An additional deposit of $500 (non-refundable) per pet is required.
There is an additional $25.00 rent per pet.
Tenants with pets must provide proof of renter’s insurance that includes liability or coverage of bodily injury.

What else do I need to know?

All utilities are paid by the tenant.
Appliances are generally not included. If there are appliances present in home, SWE Homes assumes no responsibility over them.
The majority of our rentals are also available for sale with no credit needed through our owner financing program.
